This paper introduces a novel task for 3D partial shape completion and a generative model named HoloPart, which can complete incomplete partial segments into complete 3D parts. The datasets include ABO and PartObjaverse-Tiny, which are utilized for training and evaluating the HoloPart model. These datasets provide partial annotations of 3D shapes, enabling the model to learn the geometric and semantic information required for partial shape completion. This study aims to address the challenges in 3D content creation and understanding, especially in application scenarios such as geometric editing, animation, and material assignment, where complete partial geometric shapes are required.
