Insect Count in Quadrant

The data for " Insect Count in Quadrant " was collected on Friday October 3 , 2014 from 3:00 to 3:50 pm at Woodlot in York University Keele Campus in Toronto Ontario. The weather was rainy and the sky was covered with clouds not allowing much light to the ground. The wind was not so strong and the temperature was around 15 degrees celcius. A quadrat of 1 meters squared was placed randomly in the woodlot on the ground. The number of individual insects , the total number of species and the naming of the taxanomic groups that were found in the quadrat were observed and recorded by the researcher. Nine repetitions of quadrat sampling were made giving a total of ten samplings. Three of the quadrat sampling were on the edge of the woodlot ( dim light condition) , and other three were in the middle and a more open area in the woodlot ( had more light condition) and the remaining ones were near two big trees. Group members who did the samplings are : Hasan Hamam , Angela Joseph. Other Group members did the other data sets.
