The invention relates to a rotor for a heating unit comprising a rotor housing and a rotatable rotor shaft， which is provided in the rotor housing and has add-on components for influencing a stock suspension to be heated， which flows through the rotor housing. At least some of the add-on parts and/or additional surfaces provided on at least some of the add-on parts are designed in such a way and/or oriented with respect to the rotor shaft axis in such a way that the inside diameter of the stock suspension ring forming around the rotor shaft at a specifiable operating rotational speed of the rotor shaft， said inside diameter being measured perpendicularly to the rotor shaft axis， is kept at a minimum value that is greater than the outside diameter of the rotor shaft.
