Commented RIS file for deduplication and results obtained

The commented RIS file (commented-RIS.ris) was created as part of a master’s thesis on free and open-source bibliographic management software for systematic reviews. It was used to test nine deduplication tools: Zotero 9 (with Zoplicate), EndNote 2025.3.1, Deduklick, TERA Deduplicator (focused and relaxed), ASySD 0.4.6, CiteSource 0.2.0, Silvi, EPPI-Reviewer 6, and Covidence. The commented RIS file contains 100 records, and 56 should remain after complete deduplication. These various cases have been compiled to examine specific issues that may arise during deduplication. Of the 36 duplicate cases, 33 have 2 duplicates (2 of which were split to test different criteria), 2 have 3 duplicates, and 1 has 4. Among the 11 non-duplicate cases, 10 cases have 2 non-duplicates and 1 case has 4 non-duplicates. This amounts to a total of 47 cases. Most of the references are articles (35); 5 cases are clinical trials; 2 cases consist of an article and its preprint; 2 cases are books; 2 cases are theses; and finally, 1 case consists of conference abstracts. Each case has a number, a corresponding keyword, and a description explaining what should happen after deduplication and the differences between the case references. The keyword makes it easier to process the results when the deduplication tool supports this feature (e.g. Zotero). Along with the commented RIS file, all 10 output files are also available to show the results obtained with each tool. CiteSource has two files since RIS file isn't recognized by Zotero (probably because it lacks the type field). For this reason, BIB file was also imported. The tests were conducted between June 12 and June 22, 20206. Each file's title is formed with tool name, post deduplication results (mention) and date (DD-MM-YYYY). The analysis is available in the master's thesis (only available in French).
