VPRS 11540 Army Apprentice Cards

The series provides summary information about the progress of apprentices during their Department of Defence (Army) apprenticeship training.The Apprentice History Cards contain the apprentices personal details (such as their name, date of birth, name and address of the army barracks at which they were stationed), details of the apprenticeship trade, date commenced and length of term of apprenticeship in years, and the apprentices progress (such as results for particular subjects).A registration number was recorded, and, if an apprenticeship is completed, a Certificate of Proficiency number was also recorded. As at June 1998, the records that these numbers may refer to are not extant.(Most records consist of one card, but occasionally a single record may consist of two cards.)
