Strain Bacteroides massiliensis TS7.1 V2.1.1 was isolated from the fecal microbiota of a healthy lean USA female at time point zero (bacterial isolates were also sequenced from this donor at time points 364, 399, and 484 days later). The strain name was assigned from the 16S rRNA sequence (obtained with the double barcoded strategy; see A.G. Goodman et.al. PNAS 2011). The species name was assigned as the most abundant genus/species associated with a given cluster of genomes (with a cluster containing all strains with a coverage score >0.50). The genome was sequenced with paired-end 101bp reads on an Illumina HiSeq 2000. Genome length is 4793791. Coverage is 5.9X. N50 contig size is 1749.
