Container ship congestion outside Chinese ports 2022

As the ports of Shenzen and Shangai faced lockdowns due to the spread of COVID-19 in March and April 2022, container ship congestions worsened throughout China. While in February 2022, some 260 container ships were waiting at ports in China, this number almost doubled in April 2022 when about 506 container ships were waiting outside Chinese ports.
