Dataset underlying the study "Response of a complex estuarine network to opening a second sea connection"

The dataset contains the model output used to create the figures in the study "Response of a complex estuarine network to opening a second sea connection". This dataset includes:<br>A README-file with further information about the contents of the dataset;Two NetCDF datasets containing the tidal analysis on all of the thalweg stations in the model domain for the reference scenario (ref) and the open-gate scenario (inf);Two NetCDF datasets containing the data from the volume-averaged salinity variance budget analysis in the estuarine domain <strong>V </strong>for the reference scenario (ref) and the open-gate scenario (inf);A NetCDF dataset containing the mixing number (M) and Freshwater Froude number (Fr_f) for each branch and the two scenarios (ref and inf);A NetCDF dataset containing the discharges through all the branches in the reference (ref) and open-gate scenario (inf);Two NetCDF datasets containing the forcing conditions and salt intrusion length throughout the two model simulations (ref and inf).<br>The raw model output and some post-processed datasets exceed the available storage capacity of 4TU.ResearchData and can thus only be obtained per specific request from the authors (<em>corresponding author: M. Geraeds</em>).
