This layer shows survey locations selected following methods in Wiest et al. 2016 (Condor: Ornithological Applications) to survey for tidal marsh birds including the Saltmarsh Sparrow. These locations were visited 2-3 times a season (between May and July annually) between sunrise and 1030 AM in 2011 and 2012, and are slated for resurvey (2 times a season ) in 2021 and 2022. Surveys are led and coordinated by the Saltmarsh Habitat and Avian Research Program (SHARP). The end goal from the resurvey of these points is to update population and trend estimates for tidal marsh specialist species, specifically the Saltmarsh Sparrow.
