Height in 180 Alabama referred hemochromatosis probands with HFE p.C282Y homozygosity

This dataset consists of observations at diagnosis of 180 referred Alabama hemochromatosis probands with HFE p.C282Y/p.C282Y, including sex, age, transferrin saturation, serum ferritin, height, and weight. Ethics approval: Alabama hemochromatosis probands This retrospective work was performed according to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki. Performance of this study was approved by Western Institutional Review Board, Inc. (submission 2539985-44189619). Western Institutional Review Board, Inc. waived the need for obtaining informed consent from participants in this study under United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Human Research Participants, regulation 45 CFR 46.101(b)(4). Obtaining informed consent was not required and thus was not obtained because this study involved retrospective chart review and analyses of observations recorded in routine medical care.
