This series was used to record details of inmates held in the Ararat Benevolent Asylum. Information recorded includes the name of the inmate, their occupation, place of residence, birthplace, age, marital status, date of arrival in Victoria, religion, grounds for application and, if applicable, date of death. The provenance of this volume is unclear and has been attributed to the Ararat and District Hospital from which the volume was originally transferred.
