Bacterial profiling of zebrafish larvae microbiota

This project aimed to compare the bacterial community associated with zebrafish larvae that were raised using two different microbial colonization methods. The first method obtains 'conventiontionally-raised' (CONR) larvae. For this method, larvae were raised following standard protocols (http://zfin.org). The second method derives 'conventionalized' (CONV) larvae. For this method, zebrafish embryos were sterilized at 6 hours post-fertilization, and were recolonized immediately thereafter by placing the embryos in egg water from CONR larvae.
