Knowledge Conflict Datasets for Fact-Checking

The wikipedia_current_event_2025_with_evidence.json and wikipedia_current_events_2024_with_evidence.json files contain automatically crawled recent events with corresponding evidence. The politifact_conflict.jsonl dataset is specifically constructed with conflicting external evidence to facilitate knowledge conflict analysis. For the politifact_conflict.jsonl, each instance follows a structured format: claim_text represents the factual claim to be verified; cred_label is the label for the claim, based on the original dataset's annotation; evidence is the gold evidence provided by the original dataset, serving as the reference for determining the claim's truthfulness. To introduce knowledge conflicts, we construct two types of adversarial evidence: word_counter_evidence is generated through an Entity Substitution method; sentence_counter_evidence is generated via Counterfactual Evidence construction. The complete datasets will be made publicly available upon acceptance.
