Ladies of Ravensbrück, AGR - ERM

Nazi Camp Ravensbrück, 1940-1945: The concentration course of the Ladies deported from Belgium and the Ladies who entered Belgium after the war. This dataset contains an overview of all biographical data compiled from individual files. The main listing of this project is the Ravensbrück File of the War Victims Service, work of Berthe Bernard, aka Nina Erauw. It consists of individual files of deportees, sorted alphabetically, whether or not they have the status of PP (Political Prisoners), NN (Nacht und Nebel), voluntary (TV) or compulsory (TO) workers, hostages, racial, Jewish or Gypsy deportees. Each sheet contains the basic data of personal files and follows their concentration course. To this file is added the list of the Belgian Amicale of former political prisoners and beneficiaries of the Ravensbrück camp. She recaptures, by maiden name, the resistance fighters and/or those who are arrested for their behaviour and deported to Ravensbrück. Next is the Anfrage Belgien file, produced by the Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Ravensbrück, Stiftung Brandenburgische Gedenkstätten, in Fürstenberg, which was sent to me at the end of summer 2008. This list includes the names of the deportees in alphabetical order, the date of birth and the number; for married women, the surname of the wife prevails. Many spelling variations in the writing of proper names go so far as to encode the same person several times. Each of the deportees was identified on the basis of information from the International Research Service (IRS) in Bad Arolsen, available at the General Archives of the Kingdom (AGR).
