The prevalence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa is increasingly being implicated worldwide in a variety of infections and is associated with high mortality rates. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of an MDR P.aeruginosa belonging to an unreported sequence type 1200 (ST1200) clone that was isolated from a grade-A hospital in Shandong Province, China. This strain has a blaVIM-2-carrying plasmid. The dataset presented in this study provides essential insights into the underlying mechanisms of the highly antimicrobial-resistant P. aeruginosa strain and assists in the development of effective control strategies.
