Genomic sequence determined by WashU as part of a comparative genomics study. Saccharomyces uvarum CLIB 533 strain:623-6C

WashU performed a comparative genomics study of several Saccharomyces species, including Saccharomyces bayanus. They sequenced the Saccharomyces bayanus strain 623-6C genome at 2.9X coverage using whole genome shotgun (WGS) sequencing. Version 1 of the assembly, which represents approximately 88% of the Saccharomyces bayanus genome, consists of 2,407 contigs. Version 2 of the assembly consists of 586 contigs; these contigs include traces submitted to the NCBI Trace Archive by the Broad Institute. The WGS sequences have been deposited at GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ under the project accession AACG00000000.
