Socio-Economic Assessment (SEA) - 2024

The Socio-Economic Assessment, 2024 provides quantitative data on the socio-economic situation of refugees from Ukraine and host community members in Moldova. Conducted between June and September 2024, the survey covers topics including livelihoods, access to public services, social cohesion, child protection, health, and housing. The dataset captures demographic profiles, service usage and barriers, economic inclusion opportunities, and perceptions of social inclusion. The findings form part of a mixed-methods assessment that also includes micronarratives and key informant interviews, supporting evidence-based programming and policy responses for both refugee and host populations in Moldova. The World Bank–UNHCR Joint Data Center (JDC) provided financial support for the implementation of this assessment.
