资源简介:
Recordings sampled at the stepped spillway of Prof. Chanson at The University of Queensland during a research stay in 2017. Flow depths measured all through the non-aerated region.
The data shows growing free surface fluctuations with increasing streamwise coordinate, up to the inception of self-aeration.
Data analyzed in Chapter 10 of:
Valero, D. (2018). On the Fluid Mechanics of Self-Aeration in Open Channel Flows. PhD thesis, Université de Liège.
Spillway geometry introduced in the work of:
Zhang, G., Chanson, H. (2016). Hydraulics of the Developing Flow Region of Stepped Spillways. I: Physical Modeling and Boundary Layer Development. Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 142(7), 04016015.
The presented results were obtained in the framework of a project-related personal exchange program funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Australia-Germany Joint Research Cooperation scheme with financial support of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
