Jean-Pierre Serre — Faisceaux algébriques cohérents (FAC): French editions, English translation, and blind-comparison evidence

Start with 00_FAC_Blind_Comparison_Readable_Report.pdf. It is the human-readable account of an accidental blind comparison: an independent English translation was completed before the project coordinator discovered the published English translation by Piotr Achinger and Łukasz Krupa. The record contains three separate mathematical editions: a diplomatic French transcription, a corrected French edition with every departure logged, and a complete linked English translation. It also contains editable TeX, the full comparison evidence, correction and reversal histories, exact source identities, reference graphs, validators, and reproduction tools. No interleaved bilingual reader is presented. The blind comparison covers 79 chronology-defined units and records 138 adjudicated findings and 219 self-correction rows. It is useful evidence about this production workflow, not a scalar benchmark, peer review, or proof that the translation is error-free. Important passages should still be checked against Serre's French source. The Manuscript Typesetting Project prepared the transcription, independent translation, comparison, links, and provenance. GAGA is maintained separately under concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.21781322. The redundant FAC assessment concept remains tombstoned; this is the sole surviving FAC lineage. 90_WORKFLOW.zip records the permanent correction-ingest, translation-custody, and same-concept publication workflow.
