Investigation on the potential to treat aged cow manure using spare capacity in anaerobic digesters treating a mixture of food waste and pig manure

Cow manure is not an attractive feedstock for anaerobic digestion in Korea due to the plant-based bedding materials and organic loss after letting several months on the floors of pens. Co-digestion of the aged cow manure with food waste and pig manure using the spare capacity of the existing anaerobic digestion plant was investigated in this study.
