Gastric mucosal microbiome in Peptic Ulcer Patients.

Mucosal oxidative stress is considered to be the primary mechanism by which these factors contribute to gastritis and peptic ulcer disease progression. This study based on 16s RNA sequencing describes a simple and novel approach to model microbial communities into eco groups based on their inferred redox characteristics. . This work results in oxidative stress is likely to be associated with a tissue redox potential that perturbs the gastric mucosal microbial community. Our redox model offers finer insights into the perturbations associated with the gastric mucosal disease.
