Genome Resequencing Analysis Reveal the Genetic Diversity of Wolfiporia cocos Germpasms

Wolfiporia cocos is a saprophytic fungus widely used in traditional Chinese medicine for the numerous health benefits of its sclerotia. This study evaluated the genetic diversity of 39 W. cocos strains using genome sequencing analysis, as well as phylogenetic and population structure analyses. We clarified the genetic background differences in the germplasm resources of W. cocos, which will help establish an efficient breeding system for this species.
