Masu salmon (Oncorhynchus masou) is a species of Pacific salmon with a natural distribution along the coast of the Pacific Ocean in Asia. The masu salmon fishery is commercially significant and masu salmon are important in aquaculture. Our goal is to provide a reference genome assembly for this species and add to the small but growing genetic resources available for this species.
