Statistical testing of fungal community composition in response to different environmental variables.

The tests are based on a multispecies generalized linear model calculation (“Multispec.glm”) and a permutational multivariate analysis of variance using Bray-Curtis distance metrics (“Permanova”). All GLM tests resulted in the same highly significant p-values but the analysis of corresponding deviances indicated different responses to the environmental parameters. PERMANOVA yielded more sensitive results in all three displayed statistics and principally confirmed results from ordinations (Fig 4).
