TOOLKIT FOR SERVICE PROVISION SUPPORTING WAR REFUGEES WITH DISABILITIES

This toolkit is a companion for the report Ukrainian War Refugees with Disabilities (Nowicka et al, 2024), aiming to depict the organizational effort to support disabled refugees from Ukraine to Warsaw and Bucharest. The toolkit collects a series of good practices and brings them back to service providers, as a way to boost their rapid intervention in case of misfortunate large-scale events that produce refugees, such as the Russian repeated invasions to Ukraine. The audience for this brief note is with organization that have the potential to assist refugees with disabilities across the World, and the intention is to bring closer to them the experience of Poland and Romania when confronted with the sudden large flow of refugees from Ukraine following the Russian 2022 wave of aggressions.
