Transcriptomes of cockroach infecting eugregarines

Sequencing of transcriptomes from 5 species of eugregraines (Apicomplexa). Using these, and other publicly available data, we reconstructed a robustly resolved phylogeny of apicomplexans. Within this evolutionary framework we explored mitochondrial metabolism across the phylum, identifying convergent metabolic restructuring and at least three independent losses of the electron transport chain. These data contain host and other contaminant sequences.
