资源简介:
This dataset was created as part of an evaluation study for a randomised controlled trial (RCT) titled “Simulation-Based Training for Child Helpline Counsellors: Impact of Simulation, Feedback, and Reflection in a Randomised Controlled Trial”. The training context focuses on preparing counsellors and volunteers at children’s helplines through interaction with a simulated virtual child. The study design was pre-registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF) and is publicly available at https://osf.io/j9k4u . Participants were recruited via the Prolific platform, and data were collected through either their interaction with the training tool or online surveys hosted on Qualtrics. The dataset contains participants’ responses and interactions for all primary and secondary measures used in the study, including task knowledge, reflection capability, conversational outcomes, perceived usefulness, usability (SUS), and overall experience (ASAQ). It also includes demographic information (stored separately and not linked to other questionnaires), interaction performance, and scripts used to calculate exam scores and evaluate reflections using a local large language model (LLM) via Ollama for transparency and reproducibility. R Markdown files document the data-specific analysis procedures. Questionnaire sources and full methodological details are described in the associated paper.
Dataset Overview:Dataset size: 346 participantsDesign: 4-condition RCT, 5 sessions over 14 daysPrimary measures: Task knowledge, reflection capability, conversational outcomesSecondary measures: SUS, ASAQ, perceived usefulnessData types: Surveys, written reflections, performance indicators, button clicks, LLM-scored reflections, LLM prompts
