During the co-cultivation of TpQ2 and F. oxysporum, we have observed that TpQ2 could significantly suppress the growth and development of F. oxysporum mycelia through secreting cell wall degrading enzymes and inhibiting cell wall formation via suppression of the expression of cell a wall biosynthesis associated gene, FomCFEM. This gene is essential for F. oxysporum virulence and stress tolerance.
