资源简介:
The data collection for this study involved a comprehensive approach, including both clinical and laboratory methods. From November 16 to 26, 2019, at a pigeon farm in Doulotpur, Khulna, a total of 248 pigeons were examined, with detailed information gathered on clinical signs, laboratory tests, and post-mortem findings. A questionnaire was developed to collect farmer data, capturing details on breed, age, sex, food, and housing. Clinical signs and post-mortem lesions were defined for case identification, focusing on symptoms such as polyuria, neurological abnormalities, and specific postmortem findings. Treatment protocols were documented, involving medications like FRAC-12, Lysovit, Enrocin, Saline+C, and Lashota ND vaccine. The nutritional analysis of pigeon feed involved various laboratory techniques, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for carbohydrates and vitamins, Kjeldahl method for protein, Soxhlet extraction method for fat, and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) for minerals. Gut content and water samples were also analyzed, providing insights into feeding patterns and potential environmental exposures. The data collection process followed a systematic and detailed methodology, combining clinical observations with advanced laboratory analyses.
