Experimental location and genotypesThe experiment was conducted at experimental field, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh, during the period from Oct 2014 to April 2015. Location of the site is 23°75' N latitude and 90°34' E longitude with an elevation of 8 meter from sea level under AEZ-28. Twenty six genotypes were used in the experiment.  Experimental procedure and designThe experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replication. Unit plot size was 2 m × 2 m. The soil was sandy loam in texture and pH was 5.46- 5.64. Seed sowing was done on Oct 19, 2014 in the seedbed. Before sowing, seed treatment was done with Provax 200WP (Carboxin 17.5 % + Thiram 17.5 %). All cultural practices necessary for seed bed were done properly. Land was well ploughed at tilth condition. All fertilizers and cow dung except urea were applied during final land preparation. Urea were applied in three split doses. 23 day old seedling were transplanted in the main field. Irrigation, weeding, mulching, staking, pesticide application was done properly when required. Data collection procedureFive plants from each genotype were selected and tagged. Data were recorded on days to first flowering, days to 50% flowering, number of cluster per plant, number of fruits per cluster, number of fruits per plant before harvest. Harvesting were done regularly and on time.er harvest, data on single fruit weight (g) and fruit yield per plant (kg) were recorded. Statistical analysisAnalysis of variance, genotypic and phenotypic variances, genotypic and phenotypic co-efficient of variation, heritability, genetic advance, genetic advance mean’s percentage, simple correlation co-efficient, genotypic and phenotypic correlation co-efficient, path co-efficient, principal component analysis (PCA), cluster analysis (CA) were performed with the help of “R 4.3.1” computer software.
