Example data and code for FAC-based bloom phenology extraction and PCA/PCR analysis in global lakes

The package is intended to document the core analytical steps used in the study and to improve methodological transparency and reproducibility. The files include: (1) an example Google Earth Engine workflow for calculating fractional floating algae cover (FAC) for one lake in one year; (2) an example daily FAC CSV output for one lake-year; (3) a MATLAB function for estimating bloom phenology metrics, including bloom start date (SOD) and bloom end date (EOD), from daily FAC time series using Fourier fitting and a threshold-based rule; and (4) a MATLAB function for principal component analysis (PCA) and principal component regression (PCR) used to analyze the relationships between environmental/socioeconomic drivers and bloom metrics.
