People Working Together in the Peel-Harvey Catchment - Stage 1

Landscape scale conservation actions will contribute to the protection of threatened species of the Peel-Harvey and the ecological character of the Peel-Yalgorup Ramsar System that sits within Australia’s only Biodiversity Hotspot. Collaborative partnerships between the Peel-Harvey Catchment Council, local governments, community, Landcare groups and the Murray Districts Aboriginal Association will enable a diverse range of actions including Aboriginal knowledge sharing, restoration, monitoring, coastal protection works and community awareness and engagement. Participants will gain a range of skills and experiences while contributing to regional-scale initiatives to protect Australia’s nationally and internationally significant environmental assets.
