IMPROVING THE INSTITUTIONAL MECHANISM FOR DEVELOPING GREEN LENDING IN THE BANKING SYSTEM OF UZBEKISTAN (BASED ON FOREIGN EXPERIENCE)

This study examines the improvement of institutional mechanisms for developing green lending in the banking system of Uzbekistan based on foreign experience. The research analyzes modern approaches to Sustainable Finance and the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into banking practices. The findings reveal that effective green lending development depends on regulatory support, institutional coordination, and risk management frameworks. The study highlights the role of international organizations, digital technologies, and policy incentives in expanding green finance. It concludes that adapting advanced foreign practices to national conditions can significantly enhance the efficiency and sustainability of Uzbekistan’s banking sector while supporting environmental and economic goals.
