The molecular mechanism that promotes Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) metastasis is poorly understood. Driver gene mutations are conserved during PDA progression, with no specific mutation correlating with the development of metastases. However, post-transcriptional changes, such as alternative splicing, have not yet been systematically investigated. Here we performed analysis of splicing data of a large cohort of primary and metastatic pancreatic cancer tumors to identify differentially spliced events that correlate with PDA progression.
