The study of social phenomena shows the need for an integrated system of social indicators. The five-yearly operation Time Budget Survey (EPT) provides comprehensive information about the social habits and daily life of the population from the perspective of the use of their daily time, computing their distribution or budget- between the activities carried out over a day. The operation provides useful information for social analysis from a gender perspective and also for drawing up the Domestic Production Satellite Account of the Basque Country.
