Selection of Serial Publications to Support Research in Nanotechnologies

A comprehensive technique for selection of the
world's scientific periodicals apposite for a quality research on specific
natural scientific and technical areas and based on the use of citations
analysis – accounting both citedness indexes of periodicals in the selected
specialized journals and their citing these selected specialized journals – has
been applied in the study, which practical results are presented in the Table.
A list of world journals and other serial publications has been obtained which
is supposed to be applied in creating the appropriate constituent of the
scientific information environment for the research in nanotechnologies. After
application of “threshold” values, merging, and elimination data the final list
consisted of 572 items.
