Expression changes during aging in Fukomys mechowii and Rattus norvegicus

We performed Illumina sequencing to compare gene expression changes during aging with two time points in a short- and in a long-lived rodent species across 5 tissues (blood, heart, kidney, liver and skin). Rat (Rattus norvegicus, max. lifespan=3.8 years) served as short-lived and Giant mole-rat (lifespan=22 years) as long-lived species.
