Under clear-sky daytime conditions, satellite-based aerosol products are retrieved using observations from visible and near-infrared channels over dark vegetated land surface areas, to obtain aerosol optical thickness and particle size parameters (specifically the Angstrom wavelength exponent). These satellite aerosol products have a temporal resolution of 10 minutes and a spatial resolution of 2 km.
