Enterococcus faecalis strains associated with alcoholic liver disease and phages infecting them

In order to identify the molecular mechanisms of phage infection against Enterococcus faecalis strains associated with alcoholic liver disease, we have determined the whole-genome sequence of the host of E. faecalis strains for several virulent Enterococcus phages. Additionally, E. faecalis resistant variants towards these phages, and mutated phages which can infect phage-resistant variants, were sequenced. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
