This is an ethnographic project on a boys mentoring group in a predominately Black high school in the midwest. It is part of a larger ethnographic collaboration focused on the high school. The overall project focused on understanding the disciplinary trends at the school, how the discipline contributed to the overall school culture, and how to create a school culture of trust, respect, and shared responsibility. The focus on the boys mentoring program lasted between 2016-2017, with a focus on the socio-cultural processes within the group.
