A part of the IOSDV trial in Speyer, Germany was sampled, DNA extracted from bulk soil, the V1-V2 region of the bacterial rDNA amplified and the amplicons subjected to Illumina MiSeq sequencing. The trial investigates the influence of organic fertilisers on the growth and yield of crop plants at different levels of mineral N fertilisation. We investigated the influence of these fertilisation regimes on the bacterial soil community.
