We investigated the pancreatic transcriptome of Btc mice and control littermates by microarrays to identify regulated genes that could mechanistically explain the protection of BTC against AP. Overall design: Gene expression in murine pancreas was measured 3 hours after an intraperitoneal application of a single dosis of cerulein (cerulein group; 50 µg/kg body weight) or saline (sham group: 0 hours). Four animals per group were investigated at each point of time (cerulein group and sham group).
