Dataset of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PRD-10 in pure culture on different agar media

<i>Pseudomonas aeruginosa </i>PRD-10 (ATCC 15442) is useful as a model organism for studying bacterial colonization of metal implants in biomedical settings. Typical culture of the bacterium on solid rich medium would reveal small, round, greenish-yellow mucoid colonies. More importantly, a greenish colouration was easily discernible along the streak lines on the agar plate. Such a colouration disappears during culture of <i>P. aeruginosa</i> PRD-10 on minimal salts agar medium. One important characteristic of this strain of <i>P. aeruginosa</i> was observation of retarded swarming motility. Pictures of <i>P. aeruginosa</i> PRD-10 in pure culture on different agar media are encapsulated as a zip file with this abstract. Incubation conditions were 37 ^oC for variable period of time for different agar media. <i></i>
