fecal microbiota of low fat and high fat fed C57BL/6J mice treated with and without SCFA analog monobutyrin Targeted loci

This experiment examines the effect of the SCFA analog, monobutyrin, on theintestinal and metabolic function. Mice were fed either a custom HF (ResearchDiets #D08091803B - 45% kcal fat) or LF (Research Diets #D12450J - 10% kcal fat)diet and given water with or without 0.25% monobutryin for 6 weeks. Fecal pellets were collected at end of 6 weeks for microbiota profiling.
