Radiomorphometric measurements of cortical area proportion in Late Pleistocene Ursus ingressus bones from Niedźwiedzia Cave

This dataset contains radiomorphometric measurements for 455 isolated adult Ursus ingressus bones from Niedźwiedzia Cave, Poland, comprising 376 metapodials and 79 phalanges. Total shaft width and cortical widths were measured on standardised analogue radiographs and used to calculate medullary cavity width and cortical area proportion (CA). The dataset also identifies a morphometrically restricted subset of 248 metapodials used in an exploratory two-component normal mixture analysis. Component labels describe statistical structure and are not biological or diagnostic categories. The unit of analysis is a single bone specimen, not an individual animal.
