SE, standard error. *Adjusted for all other variables as described in the Methods. **p-value represents the comparison of subgroup vs. reference group for each level of the factor of interest. The estimated difference represents the difference in mean change in BMI between the subgroup and the referent. For example, in Model 1, the estimated difference of 2.03 for participants who were underweight at baseline indicates that the mean change in BMI was 2.03 kg/m2 higher when compared to participants of normal weight at baseline. ‡P<0.05, for comparison of mean change to zero. ‡‡The analyses for Model 1 were repeated, once examining ART of any type, and once examining antiretroviral classes individually. The analyses for Model 2 only included antiretroviral classes individually. “X” indicates that the factor was not included in the model. “NA” indicates the summary was not applicable for this variable type.
