Dataset for the paper: "CT quantification of unresolved porosity and its influence on the brittle failure of layered rock materials: the case of diatomite"

These files represent an instrument for the interpretation of CT data on rock materials and, more specifically, for the quantification of the porosity (including resolved and unresolved porosities). Main input data include the hystogrm of the CT scan, the CT values for all "pure" (without unresolved pores) phases that are present in the material and a value of porosity measured indipendently. The two approaches and the data reported in these files are fully described in the manuscript "CT quantification of unresolved porosity and its influence on the brittle failure of layered rock materials: the case of diatomite" currently submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research – Solid Earth to be considered for publication in the Special Issue "Advances in Rock Physics, Rock Mechanics, and Poroelasticity"
