African swine fever virus Metagenomic assembly

African Swine fever is an important transboundary infectious viral disease of pigs caused by African Swine Fever Virus which belongs to the genus Asfivirus. ASF was confirmed in Nepal in May 2022 and since then the virus has been spreading throughout the country causing massive economic loss through the direct loss of pigs as well as market restrictions. The main objective of this study was to investigate the genetic analysis of ASFV strains based on P72 and P 54 gene.
