Annual number of fintech startups founded in Germany 2011-2023

There were 16 new fintech companies founded in Germany in 2023, which was significantly less than in the previous years. The number of new fintechs grew steadily between 2015 and 2021, with 2021 recording the highest number of new fintech startups in the country.
