Modified Martian interior density models including a solid inner core
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains modified one-dimensional radial density models of Mars that include a solid inner core. The models are based on four published Martian interior models: SKS_GD, SKS_GP, AK_Mean, and MSL_ETH. Each file contains two columns: radius in meters and density in kilograms per cubic meter. The inner-core boundary, core-mantle boundary, and other internal interfaces can be identified directly from density discontinuities in the radial profiles. For each background model, inward density increases of 2%, 7%, and 12% across the inner-core boundary are considered. The outer-core density is adjusted to preserve the total mass of the corresponding original model. Additional SKS_GD variants represent plausible variations in the core-boundary radii. These modified density profiles were used to calculate the internal degree-2 figures, gravitational coupling, free-oscillation periods, and time-variable gravity signatures.
